Jackson Wood and Cody McKenzie, employee(s) of Macon Electric Cooperative, Macon, participated in AMEC’s Regulator, Oil Circuit Recloser (OCR) and Capacitor School at the AMEC Training Center on February 9-11 in Jefferson City.
Kevin Reinhardt, Brian Hunter and Alyx Hedgpeth, from the Fletcher-Reinhardt Company and Fletcher-Reinhardt Service Company, served as instructors for the school.
Topics covered included: voltage regulation, load reduction, operation/maintenance of high voltage regulators, OCRs and capacitors, proper fusing coordination, system coordination and basic applications of the latest technology available for electronic regulator and OCR controls.
AMEC is the service organization for the state’s 47 electric cooperatives which serves more than 560,000 rural Missourians.
