REBATES
Macon Electric Cooperative offers rebates and incentives on both dual fuel and ground source heat pump systems. In order to receive a rebate for one of these systems, please complete the appropriate Take Control & Save Rebate Application and return it to our office (within 90 days of your purchase) with a copy of your dated sales receipt. If you or your contractor have questions regarding the eligibility of your HVAC equipment, please contact our office prior to installation to insure you will qualify for the rebates listed.

Ground Source Heat Pump Rebate Application
Review and discuss the Ground Source Heat Pump Rebate Application with your HVAC contractor.
In order to ensure your ground source heat pump installation will qualify for the rebate listed, we strongly recommend having a Residential Energy Audit conducted by Macon Electric Cooperative.
In order to qualify, the homeowner must ensure a minimum of R-10 insulation on the foundation walls or slab. The cooperative provides a Basement/Crawlspace/Slab rebate for GSHP installs to assist with this requirement.

Must be an air-source heat pump with high efficiency propane or natural gas backup heating.

Equipment must be installed by a certified dealer and meet the Energy Star +2 SEER rating of 17.
Unit must have either NO backup heat, or a fossil fuel for backup. Electric resistance back-up does not qualify.
Must be 40 gallons or larger.
Must be 90% or greater in efficiency.
Must not be heated using any other fuel source (i.e. wood stove, etc).

Energy Star Water Heater Rebate Application
The energy efficiency rating must meet Energy Star standards.
The rebate applies to the replacement of an existing electric heater that is less than 0.90 efficiency or the replacement of a gas water heater. New construction is also eligible.
Limit two per member address.
Must be Energy Star Rated.
Energy Star AC Rebate Application.
Please return all documents to our office (within 90 days of your purchase) with a copy of your dated sales receipt.
Must be an Energy Star rated thermostat.
Limit up to two per member address.
Intended for new construction or the replacement of an existing non Energy Star thermostat.
Members and member businesses can receive a 50% reimbursement up to $250 per qualifying EV charger purchase.
Must show proof of EV ownership to receive the rebate.
Must be a Level 2 Energy Star rated charger.
Must provide proof of purchase within 90 days.
