Carson Orr and Gabe Thrasher, employee(s) of Macon Electric Cooperative, Macon, participated in AMEC’s Meter School at the AMEC Training Center on January 28-30 in Jefferson City.
Those attending the class received classroom and hands-on instruction that centered on single phase and three phase metering applications with a focus on safety, troubleshooting, use of CTs and PTs for three phase metering applications and general detection of electricity theft.
Chris Kelmel and Michael Rook of Wesco/Anixter, Mattoon, IL, along with Cooperative personnel, served as instructors for the school.
AMEC is the service organization for the state’s 47 electric cooperatives which serves more than 560,000 rural Missourians.
